Cynthia Spencer Hospice Charity:

We provide specialist palliative care for people living with a life-limiting illness. We support patients, their families, and those who care for them across West Northamptonshire

At Cynthia Spencer Hospice we provide inpatient care, outpatient services, wellbeing services, Hospice@Home, lymphoedema services and palliative care services with a clinical nurse specialist service.

Our core team consists of specialist palliative medicine consultants who work alongside a team of doctors and specialist nurses within the Hospice and the local community. Our team also work within Northampton General Hospital and Danetre Hospital in Daventry.

Our clinical services are free thanks to the joint funding provided by the Northampton Integrated Care Board and the funds raised by supporters of Cynthia Spencer Hospice.

Step by Step Dance & Arts Foundations:

Step by Step Dance and Arts Foundation Supporting Local Communities Through Dance

The Step by Step Dance and Arts Foundation is proud to be making a positive impact across the community by providing opportunities for children and adults to engage in dance and the arts, while also supporting local causes through grants and funding.

The Foundation’s fundraising efforts are already helping local schools access professional dance tuition, enabling children to take part in the well-loved Dancing Schools UK competition. Support is also offered for essential items such as dance shoes and costumes, helping to ensure no child is left out due to financial barriers.

As part of its vision for inclusion, the Foundation also aims to offer dance and arts opportunities for people living with disabilities and conditions such as dementia. Studies show that dance not only promotes physical movement, but also encourages social interaction, improves mood, and reduces anxiety and depression.

As the Foundation grows, it is committed to awarding grants and funding to specific local individuals and groups—making a real, lasting difference within the community.

A spokesperson for the Foundation said:

“We are so grateful to everyone who has donated or supported us this year. Thanks to your generosity, we’re well on our way to achieving our goal of registering as an official charity and continuing to grow our work in the local area.”
