We're still collecting donations
On the 20th April 2023 we'd raised £16,553 with 168 supporters in 78 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
We aim to improve the fencing around Egglescliffe school to protect buildings & neighbours. Also build a covered spectators area.

Stockton hockey club have enjoyed playing & training at Egglescliffe school and sixth form college for many years.
Unfortunately, following a recent pitch move & new school building works, the risk of the occasional raised hockey ball damaging the new building or landing in a neighbours garden has increased.

Stockton Hockey club are setting up this crowd funding page to allow us to work with our host & partners, Egglescliffe school and sixth form college, to improve the fencing to add raised netting around 2 sides of the pitch. This will protect the school property & our neighbours from any raised hockey balls during match days and training sessions.
Stockton Hockey club are looking to maintain and further our strong relationship with our hosts, Egglescliffe school and sixth form college with the implementation of these raised protective nets.
Many current & former pupils (and a few teachers) have played for Stockton hockey club & gone on to represent the sport at various levels from club level, district level, national U16s up to masters international world cup level.

Raising these funds will allow the club to continue to grow & thrive at the current location & continue to attract player from all age groups & playing abilities.
If we achieve our original goal, any addition funds will go on to pay for a covered spectators area, where parents, family, friends etc can watch the games in relative comfort.

Following the success of the Birmingham 2022 commonwealth games, many people young & old have been inspired to try various sports & activities for the first time, go back to sports they previously took part in, or try new activities.
Our club has benefitted from this, as is evident in the large & growing junior sections & also adults who have re-joined the club. Many having been inspired by watching matches on TV or attending the games.
