To install a new inclusive play area in St Leonards Park ( known locally as the Studies)

 New stretch target

Any extra money raised will go towards future park projects

Back in 2019 Brucefield Tenants & Residents Association (TRA) started on a quest to improve St. Leonards park. This run down play area is part of a bigger greenspace which has been neglected for decades. It has taken a lot of hard work but we have seen great changes in the park in recent months. There was a masterplan for the park drawn up in 2023, since then we have planted a new woodland and orchard, installed benches, also through funding we managed to secure, construction has recently taken place to tackle drainage issues and install a new accessible path complete with lighting.

Now that the fundamental issues have been addressed, we are ready to install a new and improved play area. We already have the designs which were drawn up which are based on what local parents and children wanted, this information was gathered through numerous community consultations. We have been awarded £130,000 of funding on the condition that we show this is something our community wants by raising £3,000 on our own. If everyone in our community could donate a £ or two we can easily reach this target.

Our plans for the park do not end with the play area. We are currently working with local artist Donna Forrester and Dunfermline High art department to design a mural for the graffiti covered sports pavilion, We also hope to secure funding to install a Multi Use Games Arena (MUGA) in 2025..

We plan to keep improving the area to give our community an outdoor space that the whole family can enjoy.

If we exceed the £3,000 target any extra funds will go towards future park projects.

Please give what you can, every donation  no matter how small will make a difference.

Thank you
