The St Agnes Community Minibus is run by volunteers and administratively supported by local business Driftwood Spars. This is an in-kind contribution to ensure the project continues.
We need a new minibus as one of the current ones is costing more in repairs than is sustainable. We have some funds, and we will trade in the old one, but we are still off our target to get an accessible minibus.
As well as supporting the members of our community that are more mature in years, the buses & voluntary drivers also provide a low cost transport option for the schools.
The minibuses are also used by local business & sports clubs, the 'private' hire part of the business ensures that we have funds to pay for maintenance and training for the volunteers.
The community minibus offers a way for vulnerable members of our community to have social interactions and it was also integral during Covid to get the elderly to the health centre for the vaccine.
