Simon Tully’s “Ride while you work” Challenge
One man. One bike. One indoor cycling set up (aka. “pain cave”) 12 hours. Target: 200 miles…
As well as working in the hospitality space Lily's also works with young people in the digital skills area to support them to upskill and address the digital skills gap.
In addition to this some young people do not have access to laptops to undertake their training or to complete research.
To support this Simon Tully, COOK’s IT Director (and also Lily’s Treasurer), is going to attempt to ride his bike on the indoor cycling platform “Zwift” for 12 hours, aiming to exceed 200 miles… in order to raise money to buy some much need bits of tech equipment for Lily’s Social Kitchen.
To add to the madness of this event, he’s going to do this on a working day (Monday 28th April, 6am to 6pm) and continue to attend several key meetings by Zoom/Teams at various points during the day….
Simon will attempt this challenge starting 6am on Monday 28th April. Doing multiple laps of the virtual world of “Watopia”!
