Aim
The coaches at Sheffield Elite will be completing to the Yorkshire 3 peaks on 15th July to raise funds for improving the facilities
Who are we?
Sheffield Elite Basketball Academy is a community based basketball club providing elite level coaching and competition for children from all backgrounds around Yorkshire.
Why are we crowdfunding?
We are crowdfunding to raise money for improving our current facility and helping to improve the players experiences and development. We are also aiming to raise money to provide children from disadvantaged backgrounds access to basketball. With the current cost of living and increasing costs in sport many children struggle to afford to pay to play so we would like to create a hardship fund to help these children continue to play.
How we’ll spend the money raised
With the money raised we will:
- Purchase 2 side baskets to improve standards of training and increase development
- Ring fence money to create a hardship fund and help children from low income backgrounds
Community impact
This will help us offer basketball to more children across the Sheffield and Yorkshire region. In doing so we will be able to create a positive environment for children to play basketball and be good role models for others in the region
