I’m Jonny Human, founder of Say It Lad. Like a lot of men in the UK, I know how hard it is to speak up when things get tough. The traditional routes to mental health support can feel clinical, intimidating, or completely out of reach. We built Say It Lad to change that by cutting out the friction entirely.

Alongside a small, dedicated core team, Danny, Ian, and Tom, we operate with one clear rule: keep it straightforward, practical, and accessible to every single man who needs it.

The Idea

Say It Lad is the UK’s first anonymous web-based voice note platform for men’s mental health.

Talking to a professional or admitting you are struggling face-to-face can feel like an impossible step. Sending a voice note feels natural. A man can go to our website, record what is on his mind completely anonymously, and send it out without filling out lengthy forms or giving up personal data.

Every note is listened to by our team and run through dedicated safeguarding checks so that no one slips through the cracks, while ensuring lads get a safe, judgment-free space to speak their minds.

The Vision

Our mission is to normalize men getting things off their chest before they reach a crisis point. We want Say It Lad integrated directly into the places men already spend their time: football stadiums, local clubs, community hubs, and workplaces across the country. We want to remove every barrier between a man struggling in silence and a secure outlet to release it.

How The Raised Funds Will Be Used

Every penny raised from this event goes directly into platform operations and real-world outreach:

Platform Infrastructure & Safeguarding: Covering the direct web hosting, data security, and safeguarding compliance tools required to keep every note completely anonymous and safe.

Physical Stadium & Club Activations: Printing and installing physical QR-code assets in stadiums and community venues across the UK so men can access the platform instantly on matchdays.

Community Support Resources: Expanding the team’s capacity to review incoming notes and connect men with emergency support services when urgent intervention is needed.
