Exciting plans are afoot to open a new Arts and Cultural Centre in Agatha Christie’s former home in Oxfordshire, Winterbrook House. We are a volunteer community group, registering as a CIO, and a bunch of Agatha Christie enthusiasts, raising funds to buy Agatha’s former home and turn it into a Cultural Centre dedicated to her life’s works. 

We hope to transform it into a place for visitors worldwide to celebrate and appreciate her life and work in her home environment, while also providing a centre for encouraging public participation in the arts of literature, poetry, creative writing, performing arts and digital media.

We now need the help of our local and global community to help make the vision a reality.

Time is short, if funds cannot be raised, the house will be sold to private buyers with no clear plan for its preservation. 

The reason for launching a Crowdfunder is Agatha’s global appeal and fan base. We want to give her fans the opportunity to be part of something truly unique, a once-in-a-generation opportunity. Imagine taking inspiration from the surroundings that brought us the great detectives Hercule Poirot and Miss Marple. A visit to her home may inspire a whole new generation of writers.
