This project successfully funded on 6th March 2026, you can still support them with a donation.

Aim

We urgently need your help to support families by improving safer access, providing vital support, and advocating for freedoms.

  • Clinically Vulnerable Families CIC exists because higher-risk households are too often forgotten - in schools, healthcare, workplaces and public life.

We work to change that by turning lived experience into evidence, and evidence into action. One of our main focuses is safer access to indoor spaces, cleaner air, and recognition that airborne infection risk is an equality and accessibility issue. We also share practical, trusted information that people can use immediately, when it matters.

Right now, our reserves are extremely low.
This crowdfunder is about one thing: keeping CVF active and effective.

Why this matters

Whether you are Covid-cautious, living with Long Covid, Clinically Vulnerable - or in a household with someone who is - you already know the reality: infection risks did not end when society moved on. We believe that when it is safe enough for the most vulnerable, it is safe enough for everyone.

Too often, people are expected to adapt quietly, withdraw, or accept exclusion. We exist to challenge that.

What you have helped make happen in the last year

With the support of our community, we have:

  • Changed national voting accessibility guidance
Following our #MyMaskMyVote work and our UK-wide 'Voting Accessibility Audit', the Electoral Commission updated its guidance for Returning Officers (from May 2026 onwards) to explicitly recognise support safe access for Clinically Vulnerable voters - including mask-friendly approaches using 'See a mask, Wear a mask', ventilation and consideration of clean air measures including air filtration.
  • Ensured representation at the UK Covid Inquiry
We have now represented Clinically Vulnerable households across multiple UK Covid-19 Inquiry modules. Our submissions have pressed for expert evidence on airborne transmission and safety measures including ventilation in schools and healthcare.
  • Helped people to receive urgent antiviral treatments
Our information on access to 'flu antivirals has helped eligible people seek and receive vital treatments rapidly - with many people thanking us directly for providing clear guidance that enabled them to to understand their risks, advocate for treatments, and receive antivirals rapidly within the strict 48hr timeline.

What is next?

We are now actively preparing for the UK Covid Inquiry’s final investigation into the “Impact on Society”, to ensure the experiences of Clinically Vulnerable households are not minimised or forgotten, and that lessons are learned to improve the situation now and in future.

These are just a few of our concrete outcomes - and they have happened because people like you have supported our work.

Why are we asking for support now?

We don’t have large funders or a guaranteed income. Our ability to keep going depends on people who understand why our work matters.

This crowdfunder is about sustaining:

  • independent, evidence-based advocacy,
  • representation within formal decision-making processes, and
  • a visible, credible voice for change.

Help us keep going

If you can donate, we sincerely thank you!
If you can’t, then consider starting your own fundraiser for us, or sharing this page as another real form of support - as it helps keep our work visible and brings new people with us.

We are still here because people like you made it possible.
With your help, we can keep going!
