To raise vital funds for our school which are needed to develop a sheltered outdoor space for our children to use.

My name is Sarah Luff and I'm the head teacher of St Michael's C of E Primary School in Helston. I am fortunate enough to work with an incredible team who strive to inspire and support our pupils to achieve both academically and personally, who are always working hard to build a brighter future for our children.

Whilst I am far from a 'professional runner', by undertaking a challenge of this magnitude, I hope to encourage more children to take on challenges and develop resilience, whilst spending more time in nature. Over the course of the day I will run from St Michael's Mount in Marazion to our school here in Helston via the coastal path, a distance of 16.5 miles! But, it is not just me taking part in this hilly adventure. I will be joined by parent volunteers, community volunteers and some of our RNAS service people.

This fundraiser will contribute towards building a large outdoor shelter where children can sit quietly, reflect and enjoy outdoor lunches with their friends whilst connecting with nature; this space will have such a positive impact on the children's wellbeing.

It is my hope that our school and wider community will rally together to raise much needed funds to help get this project off the ground. I have already had interest from parents who would like to take part in some or all of the challenge and will look forward to running the final mile with St Michael's pupils here at school.

If you are a local business or individual that would like to contribute, we would be extremely grateful for any donations. All participants can be sponsored through this link.
