Rother Valley County Park - Relay for Boccia

Aim

On 12th September NHS Property Services Colleagues and their families and friends will be aiming to cover 78 miles for the NHS 78th Birthday

On Saturday 12th September, NHS Property Services Colleagues and their families and friends will be aiming to cover 78 miles for the NHS 78th Birthday.  We will be undertaking the miles around Rother Valley County Park in aim of raising Awareness and Funding for Boccia UK.  We will make up the miles via, Walking, Cycling, paddle boats and Running.

We are supporting Boccia over the next 2 years to help them raise awareness of the sport and raise vital monies in which they can invest in equipment and resources.

Boccia is a target ball sport played traditionally on a badminton size court.  The game of Boccia consists of 1 Jack Ball, 6 Red and 6 Blue balls.  Boccia is played from a seated position.  Boccia is a Paralympic Sport.
