RNLI 200 PRIZE DRAW TERMS AND CONDITIONS (“TERMS AND CONDITIONS”)
1. General
1.1 These Terms and Conditions are applicable to anyone entering the online “RNLI 200 Prize Draw” (the “Prize Draw”) promoted and run by us, the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI), a charity registered in England and Wales (209603), Scotland (SC037736), the Republic of Ireland (CHY 2678 and 20003326), the Bailiwick of Jersey (14), the Isle of Man (1308 and 006329F), the Bailiwick of Guernsey and Alderney, of West Quay Road, Poole, Dorset, BH15 1HZ (the ”Charity” and “us”).
1.2 By entering the Prize Draw you (“You”, the “Entrant”) expressly accept these Terms and Conditions and agree to be bound by them. If You do not want to accept the Terms and Conditions, You should not enter the Prize Draw.
1.3 The Charity reserves the right to refuse entry or refuse to award the Prize to anyone in breach of these Terms and Conditions.
1.4 The decision of the Charity regarding any aspect of the Prize and the Prize Draw is final and binding and no discussion or correspondence will be entered into about it.
2. Eligible Entrants
2.1 All entrants must be 18 years old or over.
2.2 As the lifeboat is an operational lifesaving asset and is not designed for afloat experiences for members of the public, access to/around the lifeboat will be via a steep set of narrow steps and there will be no accessible flush toilet facilities on board. Entrants must not be pregnant and must meet the medical requirements to undertake the lifeboat experience safely.
2.3 You must be a resident of either: UK, Ireland, Isle of Man or Channel Islands;
2.4 In entering the Prize Draw, You confirm that You are eligible to lawfully enter the Prize Draw and to claim the Prize. The Charity may require You to provide proof that You are eligible to enter the Prize Draw; and
2.5 Employees and volunteers of the Charity directly involved in running the Prize Draw cannot enter into the Prize Draw.
2.6 The Charity reserves the right to verify the eligibility of entrants. The Charity may require such information as it considers reasonably necessary for this purpose and a Prize may be withheld unless and until the Charity is satisfied with the verification.
3. Prize
3.1 Subject to these Terms and Conditions, there will be one winner who will win a passage on board of the RNLI’s lifeboat from Liverpool Marina to Media City, Salford Quays, Manchester from 12pm - 6pm on 9 October 2024 (“Passage”) and they will be able to take one adult guest with them (the “Prize”).
3.2 The Prize only includes the passage and does not include any other costs or expenses such as travel, parking, accommodation, food/drink, return transport from Manchester to Liverpool or anything else.
3.3 If the winner is not eligible or not available on that date / time, they will forfeit the Prize.
3.4 The Prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternative is offered.
3.5 The Charity reserves the right to substitute a Prize with an alternative and equivalent prize in its sole discretion.
3.6 In order to claim the Prize, the winner will need to agree and accept these Terms and Conditions. In addition, both the winner and their guest will need to undergo pre-departure safety briefing, wear lifejackets whenever on board a lifeboat and complete the Indemnity Form and Medical Disclaimer that will be provided by the RNLI. The winners will need to arrive in suitable clothing and shoes. Guidance will be given on clothing ahead of journey. Failure to comply with this clause would mean that they are not able to get on board of the RNLI’s lifeboat or claim the Prize.
4. How to enter
4.1 To enter this Prize Draw, entrants must either:
4.1.1 purchase the entries via this Crowdfunder platform and complete the relevant details and choose one of the following Entry Routes* dependant on the number of entries that the entrant wishes to commit to:
£5 for 1 entry
£10 for 3 entries
£20 for 8 entries
£30 for 12 entries
£50 for 25 entries
£100 for 50 entries
£200 for 125 entries
*If you are entering from Ireland, the normal exchange rates will apply

4.1.2 To enter without making any purchase (because no paid entry is necessary in order to enter this Prize Draw, nor to be eligible to win the Prize), please send a postcard with your full name, home address, email address and contact number, to the following address:

4.2 Please note that these are the only methods by which to enter the Prize Draw. Entries submitted in any other way will not be accepted.
4.3 On entry, you will receive confirmation, which will be accepted as proof of receipt of entry to the Prize Draw.
4.4 The entries must be submitted from 11:30 (BST) on the Opening Date (being 27 September 2024) until 11:30 (BST) on the Closing Date (being 4 October 2024). All Prize Draw entries received after the Closing Date are automatically disqualified.
4.5 Entries that do not comply with these Terms and Conditions will be void and will not be entered into the Prize Draw.
5. How the winner is determined and contacting the winner
5.1 All correct entries will be entered into the Prize Draw and the winner will be selected at random by a computer process that produces verifiably random results.
5.2 The winner will be contacted by the Charity using the email address, social media contact and/ or the telephone number provided by the Entrant.
5.3 If the winner has not responded to accept their Prize by 5 October 2024, then the winner’s prize will be forfeited, and the Charity will be entitled to re-draw the winner under the same Terms and Conditions. In these circumstances, the new winner will be notified, and the Prize must be accepted in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
6. Personal data
6.1 The Charity will process your personal data for the following purposes:
6.1.1 to administer the Prize Draw - processing entries, and to contact you at the close of the Prize Draw if you have won, and to liaise with you regarding the Prize;
6.1.2 as set out in clause 7 below with regards to winner announcement and publicity.

7. Winner announcement and Publicity
7.1 The Charity may announce the first name and county of a winner on its website, social media, Compass, Horizon and Volunteer Facebook unless the winner objects to it in accordance with paragraph 7.3.
7.2 Unless you object in accordance with clause 7.3 below, the Charity will have the right to collaborate with you to share your Prize story and experience with the media.
7.3 You object to your information being published if You win or want to reduce the amount of information published please contact [email protected].
8. Entrant only
All entries must be made by the entrant themselves and not on behalf of anyone else. Bulk entries made from trade, consumer groups or third parties will not be accepted. Incomplete or illegible entries, entries by macros or other automated means (including systems which can be programmed to enter), and entries which do not satisfy the requirements of these terms and conditions in full will be disqualified and will not be counted. If it becomes apparent that an entrant is using a computer(s) to circumvent this condition by, for example, the use of ‘script’, ‘brute force’, masking their identity by manipulating IP addresses, using see identities other than their own or any other automated means in order to increase that entrant’s entries into the Prize Draw in a way that is not consistent with the spirit of the Prize Draw that entrant’s entries will be disqualified and any prize award will be void.
9. Lost or Damaged entries
No responsibility is accepted for entries lost, damaged or delayed or as a result of any postal delays, network, computer hardware or software failure of any kind. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of receipt.
10. Complaints
All disputes or complaints relating to the Prize Draw should be referred to the Charity at [email protected]. Please include the details of the Prize Draw, the Charity and the nature of your complaint and we will respond to Your complaint within 14 days of receipt. If your query or complaint relates to a data protection issue, then please email our Data Protection team at [email protected].
11. Limitation of Liability
11.1 Insofar as permitted by law the Charity or its agents will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or an entrant or accept any liability for any loss or damage or injury occurring as a result of taking up the prize or taking part in the Prize Draw except where it is caused by the gross negligence of the Charity or their agents, distributors or employees.
11.2 The Charity acting reasonably reserves the right to void, suspend, cancel or amend the Prize Draw and these Terms and Conditions where it becomes necessary to do so.
11.3 In no event shall the Charity (including their employees, affiliates and volunteers) be liable for any claim, demand or damages arising out of or in any way connected with the Entrant’s use of the site, the Prize Draw or their receipt and use or enjoyment of the Prize.
11.4 The Charity will not accept responsibility for prize draw entries that are lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed in transit.
12. Variation of Terms
The Charity may vary these Terms and Conditions.
13. Third Party Rights
No person who is not a party to an Agreement shall have any right pursuant to the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 to enforce any term of such Agreement.
14. Applicable Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by English Law, and the Entrants submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
15. Refunds Policy
The Charity does not provide refunds of the donations or entry payments. However, where there is a valid complaint and the Charity deems that a refund or part refund is appropriate the Charity will liaise directly with the Entrant. All complaints must be referred to the Charity at [email protected] in the first instance.
