Rhiannon's Birthday Fundraiser for 90 Years of LWC

Aim

To mark my birthday I'm asking for donations to the London Welsh Centre's 90th Anniversary campaign instead of gifts.

In 2027 the London Welsh Centre celebrates its 90th anniversary.

The Centre is the heart of Welsh culture in London, promoting Welsh Language and Heritage to a richly diverse audience through a programme of artistic and educational events which nurture understanding and enjoyment of Wales, its people, its music and culture.

Since opening the doors at Gray’s Inn Road in 1937, The London Welsh Centre has become so much more than simply a ‘home from home’ for London’s Welsh Diaspora to meet and socialise, and is a vital platform where everyone is welcome to engage with Welsh culture and heritage - from gigs and performances to talks, community events, choirs and celebrations. The current sound and AV system is ageing and no longer does justice to the brilliant range of things that happen there.

Singers need Microphones, Choirs need a Stage, DJs need Mixing Desks, and Live Sports Events need an AV System. With your help, LWC can invest in a system that will serve the Centre community for many years to come.

The campaign target is £32,500. You can see the main campaign page here.

Your donation will be worth an extra 25% to LWC if you are able to Gift Aid your donation.
