Aim

We want to rewild more areas in Derbyshire - and with your support, we can make this happen.

The Wildlife Trusts are calling for at least 30% of our land and sea to be connected and protected for nature’s recovery by 2030. Making more space for nature to become abundant once again will give our struggling wildlife the chance to recover and also restore beautiful wild places - places that store carbon and help to tackle the climate crisis.

Derbyshire was once a vibrant oasis full of wildlife, beavers made their homes in our wetlands, salmon filled our rivers and red squirrels and pine Martins nestled in the forests in the hills.

Soon we will have brought beavers back to Derbyshire, but there is much work to do before nature is restored.

Our goal is for a wilder Derbyshire and with your support this can happen.

Our newest reserve Thornhill Carr shows that rewilding holds the answer to a wilder future.

We want rewilding to happen across all of Derbyshire, to create a nature recovery network allowing safe environments for all of our beloved species such as butterflies, birds & bees and give them the opportunity to flourish. It would also be a safe home for new species to return such as ospreys and red squirrels.

More than ever before we need nature, and more than ever before nature needs us.

Help us make this a reality across Derbyshire, donate now and play your part in rewilding our world.
