Our organisation is in need of updated and enhanced equipment to better support our players, especially those in our junior teams.
Warminster RFC has a longstanding and deeply rooted connection with our community. We are dedicated to providing a secure and nurturing environment for all age groups to actively engage in our beloved sport. As a non-profit club, we operate with limited financial resources. Our club accommodates age groups from under 5 to Colts rugby at Under 17, and also encompasses senior club level with Dorset and Wiltshire. We ensure access to training equipment and coaches for all age groups, enabling them to train on any day or evening of the week, with most games taking place during weekends. Our focus is on supporting the holistic development of young children into confident young adults, offering them a stable platform for growth. We emphasize the cultivation of teamwork, self-confidence, a sense of belonging, and pride in their accomplishments.
We are actively recruiting players of all ages, and we are specifically targeting schools to encourage girls to join the sport. Our outreach is focused on schools that do not include rugby in their physical education activities. We believe that offering year-round training options will be attractive to families with busy schedules, providing flexibility for attendance on different days and evenings of the week. By providing more flexible training schedules, we anticipate an increase in the number of people and families joining the club, leading to a positive impact on fundraising for club and ground improvements. The success of this initiative will be evident to our current members and players, as increased participation will contribute to the club's financial sustainability, enabling us to undertake numerous planned improvements. These planned improvements include new toilets and changing rooms, a kitchen for match day food service, and the installation of solar panels to promote environmental friendliness. These enhancements are significant to our members, and although we actively fundraise, it has been challenging to raise enough funds for these major projects.
There are five simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.
1. Make a pledge. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success!
2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.
3. Offer rewards. Get involved if you are a local business by donating things we can offer to our supporters. We will give you a shout out!
4. Fundraise for us. If you want to run your own fundraiser – maybe a sponsored activity or similar – use the 'contact project' button at the top of our page to let us know. Setting up your own page only takes a few minutes and you won’t need any bank details. Just a fun idea!
5. Player Sponsorship - Gold Sponsor £300 - name/business logo advertised on match day social media posts and club website. 100% of players annual membership paid, 1 x social membership included, 2 x tickets to our annual Sponsorship dinner.
Silver Sponsor £200 - name/business logo advertised on match day social media posts. 50% of players annual membership paid, 1 x social membership included, 1 x ticket to our annual Sponsorship dinner.
