Pier to Pier Challenge

Aim

The hangar gives so much back to the local community & I want to raise money so they can keep delivery their amazing projects

If you know me, you’ll know how much I love The Hangar and everyone there. 🧡

Now it’s my turn to give something back, because they’ve done so much for me.

On 26th September, I’ll be taking on the Pier to Pier Challenge with other hanger members, coaches and friends. It’s a 26 mile walk from Weston Pier to Clevedon Pier and back! 🥾 

I’m doing this to raise money for the incredible work The Hangar does. It’s so much more than just a gym. It’s a non-profit organisation, which means every penny goes straight back into supporting amazing community projects, including:

🧡Youth justice mentoring - one to one & small group for people linked with the youth justice team, using gym sessions, conversations and trusted people to help young people move forward 

🧡The Hangout – a free space where teenagers can come, work out, spend time with friends, and enjoy a meal.

🧡The HAF Holiday Programme – providing activities and meals during the school holidays for children who receive free school meals.

🧡A girls’ strength club – helping young girls who don’t enjoy PE discover exercise in a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment.

🧡Women’s Strength & Wellbeing – supporting women to rebuild confidence, strength, and wellbeing after leaving unsafe relationships.

…and so many more incredible projects that make a real difference to people’s lives.
