PEEPSA works to prevent, educate, and eradicate post-separation abuse through survivor support, advocacy, and public awareness.
PEEPSA was founded by Sarah Taylor, a courageous survivor of domestic abuse, coercive control, and post-separation abuse. Driven by her personal experiences and the challenges she faced, Sarah established PEEPSA with a heartfelt mission to support others who find themselves in similar situations.
The core vision of PEEPSA is to prevent, educate, and eradicate post-separation abuse. Sarah understands firsthand the pain and trauma that can arise after a relationship ends, particularly when an abuser seeks to maintain control. With this profound insight, she has dedicated herself to creating a powerful initiative that empowers survivors and advocates for lasting change.
1. Prevent: PEEPSA is committed to implementing proactive strategies that prevent post-separation abuse before it starts. Through educational campaigns and community awareness programs, we strive to inform both individuals and professionals about the signs of abusive behaviors and the importance of addressing them early on.
2. Educate: We believe that education is a vital tool in breaking the cycles of abuse. PEEPSA provides awareness training for professionals—such as social workers, judiciary, police and educators—equipping them with the knowledge to understand the complexities of post-separation abuse. We also offer resources and workshops for survivors, helping them regain their confidence and navigate their paths to recovery.
3. Eradicate: Our ultimate goal is to eradicate post-separation abuse through institutional advocacy and support for survivors. We are dedicated to advocating for legal reforms that protect victims and hold abusers accountable, ensuring that the voices of survivors are heard and respected in the systems meant to protect them.
Sarah Taylor's journey from survivor to advocate is at the heart of PEEPSA, and her unwavering commitment fuels our mission. Together, we envision a world where no one must suffer in silence after a relationship ends. With the support and funding we seek, PEEPSA will extend its reach, provide vital resources, and continue to create a safe and supportive community for survivors, helping them reclaim their lives and thrive beyond abuse.
