Staff from Pear Tree are hiking 6.5k across the Peak District to raise funds to develop an outdoor art studio and Pear Tree Farm!
On Saturday 2nd May, a dedicated group of staff from Pear Tree School will be taking on a 6.5km hike across the Peak District. Whatever the weather brings, every step taken leads to one goal: creating meaningful, enriching experiences for the students we support every day. 🌿
We are raising funds to build an outdoor Art Studio. A dedicated outdoor space where students can explore creativity in a calm, sensory-rich environment. This space will provide a hands-on therapeutic approach to learning through art and nature, with opportunities to develop confidence, communication and regulation.
We are also fundraising to introduce Alpacas to our school community. The development of Pear Tree Farm will have a powerful impact on students. Alpacas are calm, gentle and provide unique learning opportunities and responsibilities.🦙
