Ockbrook & Borrowash L.T.C - Court Resurfacing

Aim: Ockbrook & Borrowash Lawn Tennis Club is raising money for court resurfacing to provide a better facility for the local community.

Who are we?

Ockbrook & Borrowash Lawn Tennis Club is a friendly club with a mission to provide accessible tennis in the local community. The Club is situated in Borrowash with easy links to the A52, so it is also well placed for anyone living or working in Derby or Nottingham who would like to play.

It is a well established Club with 5 outdoor carpet courts and clubhouse with changing rooms. There are a range of opportunities for all ages and abilities to play tennis, from competitive play in league matches, to being able to join in some fun social sessions.

Our coaching programme ranges from junior group coaching to private lessons and organised adult training.

Community impact

The Club has been in existence for over 100 years, having been formed back in 1919 to provide a recreation facility for soldiers arriving back from the 1914-1918 Great War. It has been providing tennis to the local community ever since.

Why are we crowdfunding?

We are raising money for lights and to resurface two of the older courts, which are in need of updating. The current surface is past its used by date and we would like to replace it as soon as possible so that we can continue to provide an excellent sporting facility to the local community.
