This book will change many lives and Danny Scott is going on tour to promote it through drama and live music and we need funds for this.
Real, raw and radical - shocking and disturbing, yet humorous, charming and beautifully endearing. A story of tragedy, torment and trauma - desperation, darkness and delirium, infused with healing, happiness and hope.
NUMB – The Edge of Feeling is a book by Danny Scott, coming out Summer 2026, and the foundation of a powerful creative and educational project exploring trauma, resilience, identity and transformation Based on a true story, the project follows a journey from early abandonment and institutional trauma to healing, purpose and international success.
It speaks honestly to the experience of emotional numbness — a growing issue in modern life — and offers insight, tools and hope for navigating overwhelming personal and social challenges. Funds raised will support the production of the book itself and the creation of a UK-wide live book launch tour during 2026–2027.
These events will take place in community venues, festivals and educational spaces, using music, poetry, spoken word and physical theatre to bring the story to life in an engaging and accessible way. This is not a traditional book launch. It is an immersive experience designed to encourage reflection, conversation and positive change — particularly for people affected by trauma, care experience, mental health challenges or a sense of disconnection. By supporting this cause, you are helping to:
