Aim

To create a mobile hub offering first aid, welfare, and support to residents, students and visitors in Nottingham city centre.

Our mission – to provide a Safe Bus for Nottingham, by retro-fitting our donated vehicle to create a fully refurbished mobile welfare hub, offering first aid, support, and a safe space for anyone who needs it in Nottingham city centre.

Every weekend thousands of residents, visitors and students enjoy Nottingham’s vibrant nightlife, but for some the evening doesn't always go as planned – people can feel unwell, lose their friends (or phone), feel unsure how to get home or need a quiet place to rest and recharge. If medical care is required, those needing help can find that emergency services can be stretched on busy evenings in the city; this is where the Safe Bus comes in.

Thanks to a donation from Nottingham City Transport, we already have the bus; now, with your kind support, we can transform it into a comfortable, accessible, and fully equipped space - complete with medical area, seating, heating, lighting, and sustainable power.

The bus will be staffed by trained welfare officers, first aiders, and volunteers, providing practical help during busy nights out. It won't just sit around during the day though, it will support health campaigns, student outreach, and community events, engagement, and more...It will be a resource for everyone, not just night-time visitors.

Your donations will directly fund the refit and all equipment needed to make the Safe Bus operational. Together, we can create something with lasting impact – a project by Nottingham, for Nottingham, that will make our city safer and more welcoming.
