Storms and vandals took out 2 of our 3 nets. With just one left for 100+ players, our juniors are missing out. Help us buy a batting cage

Who are we?

We’re Sheffield United Cricket Club, proudly serving the local community since 1854. With senior and junior teams for all ages and abilities, we’re more than just a club — we’re a family that grows together through cricket. Our members range from long-time players,  juniors, women and those starting new chapters far from home - all united by the love of cricket. 

Why are we crowdfunding?

We’re raising £1,500 to help replace batting cages damaged by storms and heartless vandalism. With only one cage left for around 100 players, including  juniors and women, training space is severely limited. Thanks to Sport England, every pound you donate will be matched, doubling the impact and helping us restore vital practice facilities faster.

How we’ll spend the money raised

Funds will go directly to replacing and securing the damaged batting cages, ensuring safe, reliable training facilities for all our players.

Community impact

Our club is a community hub, providing coaching and safe spaces for young people and adults alike. The batting cages are crucial for skill development and keeping players motivated. Restoring them will bring back opportunities and joy to hundreds of members and their families.
