Every week the Mandem go out on the streets of Manchester and Wolves to give clothes to those in need. We need YOUR help to keep this going!
Mandem Meetup was born from lived experience. Our founder, Jamie Dennis, spent years facing violence, instability and periods of homelessness before finding a path to healing through community, movement and honest conversations. What started as one man’s journey quickly grew into a lifeline for others, a place where men from all walks of life could show up exactly as they are and be met with compassion instead of judgement.
Today, our team is made up of people who know what it feels like to struggle. Many of us have lived experience of homelessness, trauma, mental health challenges or isolation. That’s why we’re committed to showing up for men and people in our community who are neglected, unsupported or unheard.
Our vision is simple: To live in a world where no man dies by suicide.
But this work takes resources. The money we raise through this crowdfunder will help us:
- Continue running our outreach support: offering clothing, sleeping bags, conversation and connection to people sleeping rough or living in unstable accommodation.
- Provide safe, supportive wellbeing spaces where men can talk openly about what they’re going through and get help before crisis hits.
- Deliver practical workshops and activities that rebuild confidence, spark purpose and help people feel part of something again.
- Support our volunteers and lived-experience leaders so that the people doing the work have the training, tools and stability to keep showing up.
Every donation helps us keep people warm, clothed, supported and seen but more than that, it helps us continue building a community where people can rebuild their lives.
Together, we can make sure the most vulnerable in our city aren’t left behind.
