Happy Birthday Spelthorne! 2025 is a very special year for Spelthorne - the borough turns 50 years old!
To celebrate, the Mayor of Spelthorne is inviting the whole community to take part in a sponsored 5k Charity Walk along the riverside at Staines to raise money for local causes including Citizens Advice Runnymede and Spelthorne, Ashford and St. Peter's Hospital, Stanwell Food Bank, Newlife for Disabled Children and Manor Mead School.

Come along with friends, family and colleagues to walk, run, jog, scoot, skip, ride or roll, and bring a picnic for afterwards. If you can't attend, don't worry - you can still support The Mayor's Charity Walk through sponsoring our event.

Stanwell Foodbank was established in September 2018. After speaking with the community from our sister charity, Stanwell Events, we became aware that households were in need of additional support accessing food. We have our own community building in Cordelia Park, in which we have our own commercial kitchen.

Every day, Newlife is changing the lives of disabled and terminally ill children. We offer a lifeline for families, providing life-changing and life-saving specialist equipment when and where it’s needed. Childhood cancers, birth defects, accidents, diseases and infections can all cause disability. They are affecting children and their families every day.
