Aim
We're raising money for our LGBTQ+ short film, based on true stories, to be entered into film festivals.
An LGBTQ+ period short film, exploring relationships between queer and gender queer individuals who lived over the past century
Each story paints a picture of LGBTQ+ people who have always been around, surviving all kinds of challenges, and finding home and community in the face of adversity
Why is this film important now?
Love Wins serves as a reminder of how the LGBTQ+ community has gotten through historic struggles by sticking together
This is especially important in the wake increase transphobic attacks and murders, including Brianna Ghey’s murder, and the rapidly changing LGBTQ+ laws the globe is experiencing
We remind ourselves of the distances we have come at a time when our government chooses to outright neglect LGBTQ+ rights by dismantling the Stonewall Agreement and in light of the Supreme Courts most recent ruling, negatively impacting the trans+ community
What will your donation pay for?
Our film is now in post-production, ready to be submitted to British and International LGBTQ+ film festivals, prioritising festivals which are BAFTA or BIFA award qualifying- as well as a mixture of smaller festivals.
Your donation will go towards submissions to festivals such as: Women X, Raindance and The New York Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, & Transgender Film Festival
