We're fundraising for the Loretto Kenya Trip 2026, an incredible opportunity for our pupils to engage in conservation and community projects
We are fundraising for the Loretto Kenya Leap Trip 2026, an inspiring opportunity for Loretto pupils to travel to Kenya and work alongside the environmental NGO Oceans Alive on conservation and community projects.
This expedition is run in partnership with The Leap and Oceans Alive, giving pupils the chance to make a meaningful contribution to marine and coastal conservation along Kenya’s stunning and environmentally vulnerable coastline. During the trip, pupils will support projects focused on protecting marine ecosystems, reducing plastic pollution, and working with local communities to promote sustainable practices and environmental education.
For the pupils involved, this is far more than a school trip. It is an opportunity to develop leadership, teamwork and resilience, while gaining first-hand experience of global environmental challenges and the importance of responsible stewardship. Working side-by-side with local partners, pupils will learn how small, practical actions can have a lasting impact on communities and ecosystems.
As a team, we are aiming to raise £4,000 to help support the cost of the trip and the important work being carried out by Oceans Alive. Funds raised will contribute towards project resources, community initiatives, and essential travel and logistical costs, helping to ensure the trip is both impactful and sustainable.
