Aim
This pop up will be a production house for Little A.R.K and space to host affordable workshops, raising revenue for a more permanent future.
Little A.R.K. have just been granted a pop up space in Morden from mid-November for a guarantee of 3 months maximum. We need help to fund our moving in costs, prepping the space to make it fit for public use and general overheads like utilities and furniture/supplies.
We plan to use this space in these ways:
- Storage throughout the busy Christmas Market season
- Production House for creating items for those in need and fulfilling commissions
- Hosting workshops for the public
This is all gearing towards raising revenue in this short period to help us fund a more permanent space when one becomes available in the future.
IDENTITY:
With founding across a diverse range of backgrounds, this union of cultures forms the heart of Little A.R.K alongside tackling waste in all forms - promoting kindness, diversity, culture, creativity, inclusion, sustainability, sharing of knowledge and stories, weaving together the fabric of the community.
VISION:
Taking inspiration from initiatives like
Your Space Sutton, Oru Space, Sound Lounge, New York Sewing Centre, Solo Craft Fair, Tottex, Community Hub and Loop -
Little Ark aims to curate a space where people of all backgrounds are welcome and empowered. Ranging from shared work zones, foods of various cultures, community events, creative exhibitions, affordable workshops encouraging a circular economy and upskilling the community.
Our aim right now is to raise revenue to fund a space like this permanently, with the hope to provide jobs for our upskilled volunteers in the future.
