Aim
The university is selling our home ground — help Lincoln RFC raise funds, to buy our land and secure our club’s future for generations.
Who are we?
Lincoln Rugby Football Club is a proud, community-focused club that has been at the heart of Lincolnshire rugby since 1882. We offer rugby for all — men, women, juniors, and minis — fostering teamwork, fitness, and friendship across generations.
Our club is a vibrant community hub, open and welcoming to everyone. We’re proud to host a thriving youth section, offering rugby for children aged 5 to 17, alongside ten senior, touch rugby, and American football teams. Beyond sport, our clubhouse serves as a vital community space, regularly used by local organisations, groups, and event organisers from across Lincoln and Nettleham — making Lincoln RFC a true cornerstone of our community.
Why are we crowdfunding?
The land our club stands on has recently been put up for sale by the University of Lincoln — meaning our home, the heart of Lincoln RFC, is at risk.
We are crowdfunding to raise £100,000 to help purchase the land and secure our future. This amount will form a vital part of the total funding needed to complete the purchase and ensure our club and community continue to have a safe, welcoming place to gather, play, and grow.
Owning our ground will give Lincoln RFC long-term security, allow us to invest in facilities, and continue supporting all the teams and community groups that call our club home.
How we’ll spend the money raised
Every pound will go directly toward purchasing the land our club is built on and covering related costs.
Our plan:
£100,000 – Contribution toward the land purchase
Any surplus – Legal fees, surveying, and essential ground maintenance
By reaching our £100,000 target, we’ll take a major step toward securing the long-term future of Lincoln RFC and preserving this valuable community space for everyone.
Community impact
Lincoln RFC is much more than a rugby club — it’s a community space that brings people together. Alongside our own rugby teams, we proudly host the Lincolnshire Lancers (LGBTQ+ touch rugby), a local American football team, and local schools and organisations for training, meetings, and events.
Our clubhouse is a welcoming venue used by community groups across Lincoln and Nettleham, supporting everything from youth engagement to charity activities.
Owning our ground will ensure these opportunities continue to grow, keeping sport, inclusion, and community spirit thriving in Lincolnshire.
