Leigham Community Hall-Kitchen Refurbishment

Aim

The kitchen at Leigham Community Hall is 30 years old. We wish to totally refurbish & renew the kitchen so it is a modern & hygienic.

Appeal

To raise funds for the next phase of the hall refurbishment-to refurbish the hall kitchen.

Leigham Community Hall is owned & run by St Edward’s Church, Eggbuckland.

The hall provides the only centre for community activities on the estate with something taking place most days for all age groups.

The Hall was built over 50 years ago but very little maintenance has taken place in the intervening years. A project to refurbish the hall commenced in 2022 after a building survey revealed the need for major work. In 2023, the roof was renewed, in 2025 double glazed windows & a flat roof were fitted. We now wish to move to the next phase of the project & start to update the interior of the hall.

• The kitchen is 30 years old. Drawers & cabinets are damaged and hygiene standards are below the norm.
• We wish to totally renew the kitchen. The old kitchen will be removed, the area redecorated before the new kitchen installed.
• New tilling completed & new fittings added.
