Over the next two years, the Langton Swimming Pool Project aims to raise £450,000 to bring this vital community resource back to life.
The Langton Swimming Pool has been a valued facility since its opening in 1959, serving both students and the wider community. Although it was forced to close during the COVID-19 pandemic, we remain fully committed to its restoration and reopening.
Over the next two years, the Langton Swimming Pool Project aims to raise £450,000 to bring this vital community resource back to life. We are proud to be working in partnership with Inclusive Sport, an organisation dedicated to ensuring that individuals of all ages and abilities—regardless of disability, background, or personal circumstances—can experience the transformative benefits of swimming.
Inclusive Swimming at The Langton will provide students with opportunities to build water confidence, improve swimming technique, enhance athletic performance, and develop essential water safety skills. Beyond its role in education, the pool will serve as a welcoming community hub where inclusion, wellbeing, and opportunity are at the heart of everything we do.
