Help Us Host a Free Women's Wellbeing Event in MCR

Aim

Raising funds to host a free women's wellbeing gathering in Beswick, Manchester — friendship, community & growth for up to 30 women.

Jewels of Faith is a registered charity in Greater Manchester (No. RC1216481) built on the foundation that  every woman deserves to be heard, held and supported. We women thrive when they're in genuine community with one another and our organisation creates space for that. 

On 25 July 2026, we're hosting our first Women's Wellbeing & Community Gathering at Beswick Library. This is a completely free day for up to 30 women covering emotional wellbeing, identity, faith, and personal growth. There will also be a book signing from a local Manchester author, celebrating faith-rooted writing and giving women the chance to connect with literature that speaks directly to their emotional wellbeing. 

Beswick Library has gifted us the venue. Our volunteers are giving their time freely to coordinate and photograph the event. What we need now is help covering the practical costs including books, refreshments, gifts for the women, and event materials — so that every woman who walks through the door on the day feels genuinely welcomed and valued.

This summer gathering is the first of many. We're planning events to follow, building something consistent and lasting for women in Manchester.

Your donation will make that possible.

Here's exactly where your money goes:

• Books — copies of a faith and wellbeing title for our book signing session (£295)
• Little treats for the women — bamboo hand fans and goody bag surprises to make the day special (£50)
• Tokens of appreciation — small gifts for our volunteers and speakers giving their time freely (£18)
• Refreshments — biscuits, drinks, cups and everything needed to host 30+ women well (£60)
• Event setup — roll-up banner and display to make the space feel welcoming (£70)
• Contingency — for anything we haven't thought of yet (£30)

Every penny goes directly to making this day happen. Jewels of Faith is a registered charity (No. RC1216481) and this campaign is 100% for the event.
