We are raising money for a charitable cause that was very important to our Mum, Thank you for your donations

In Memory of our Mum, Barbara Geering, we are raising money for the charity 'Foxie's Future' as 'Foxlease' was very important to Mum.
Guiding was such a huge part of Mum's life, from the young age of 7 when she joined the Brownies, followed by Guides aged 10, Mum then went on to become an Assistant Leader with 2nd Seaford (St Leonards) Guide Unit in 1960 and the Guide Leader in 1968. Moving to Herne Bay in 1985, Mum became the leader of 10th Herne Bay (Christchurch) Guide unit until she handed over the reins to Carol in 1994.
During this time, Mum was also a Trainer in the London And South East England Region, helping to ensure Guiders throughout the region were fully trained and knowledgeable in their various roles.
Mum was also an active member of The Trefoil Guild.

Mum received her 50 years long service award in 2011

Over her long history of Guiding, Mum visited Foxlease guiding activity centre many times, from camping in the grounds with her guide units and international guide camps, to attending trainings and conferences.

Foxie's Future is a charity set up to 'save' Foxlease as it was facing permanent closure and were successful in raising the funds to buy the site which re-opened this year to offer camping and activities to young people in Guiding, Scouting and other groups.

Anything you can contribute in Mum's memory will be massively appreciated and will go towards keeping 'Foxlease' alive.

Thank you
Wendy, David, Andrew, Carol and the family.
