Help Ruardean Hill CC grow! We're fundraising to improve our facilities and support our thriving local cricket community.

Who are we?

Ruardean Hill Cricket Club is proudly rooted in the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire. We are a passionate, community-driven club dedicated to making cricket accessible, enjoyable, and inclusive for people of all ages and abilities.

Over recent years, the club has gone from strength to strength, both on and off the field. We now field three senior Saturday league teams, a midweek Hundred team, two women's teams, and three junior teams, creating opportunities for more people than ever to get involved in cricket

Why are we crowdfunding?

In 2026, our club community achieved something incredible. Through the support of members, volunteers, local businesses, and supporters, we successfully raised 121% of our crowdfunding target, enabling us to build a two-lane, out-door batting net; a significant improvements to our facilities.

That success demonstrated what can be achieved when our community comes together.

However, our journey doesn't stop there. As participation continues to grow and our ambitions develop, we are committed to making further improvements that will enhance the experience for players, officials, volunteers, and spectators alike.

This new crowdfunding campaign will help us invest in essential equipment and infrastructure that will support the club for years to come.

How we’ll spend the money raised

Every pound raised will go directly towards improving facilities and equipment at Ruardean Hill Cricket Club. Our priorities are:

• An electric scoreboard to improve the matchday experience for players and spectators.
• Replacement covers for our wicket covers to better protect playing surfaces and reduce weather-related disruption.
• A new boundary rope and winding mechanism to improve the presentation, safety, and efficiency of matchday setup.

These investments will help us continue providing a welcoming, professional, and enjoyable environment for everyone who visits the club.

Community impact

Ruardean Hill Cricket Club is more than just a place to play cricket. It is a thriving community hub that brings people together through sport, friendship, and volunteering.

We are proud to have hosted Gloucestershire Over-50s and Disability Cricket (D40) fixtures, and we continue to work closely with local schools and community groups to inspire the next generation of cricketers.

By supporting this campaign, you are not only helping us improve our facilities, but also investing in opportunities for young people, women's cricket, disability cricket, and community sport across the Forest of Dean.

Together, we can build on the success of our previous fundraising efforts and ensure Ruardean Hill Cricket Club continues to thrive for many years to come.
