On the 19th October 2024 we'd raised £1,625 with 38 supporters in 27 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
Achieving double our fundraising goal, bringing our total to £2000, could dramatically transform our project, amplifying its impact far beyond our initial aspirations. Here's a roadmap for the potential enhancements your generous contributions would support:
Enhanced Training Opportunities (£400)
By expanding our workshops and bringing in a variety of expert facilitators, we aim to cover a wider range of techniques in set and costume design, puppetry, writing for performance and movement. This initiative will open the doors for more participants to explore their creativity and develop their skills in a supportive, dynamic environment.
Superior Materials and Supplies (£200)
Your support will enable us to procure high-quality materials and state-of-the-art equipment for puppetry and set design. This investment will not only enrich the creative experience for our participants but also elevate the overall quality of our production, allowing for a more professional presentation.
Boosted Accessibility Support (£200)
We are committed to making our project as inclusive as possible. With additional funds, we can enhance our accessibility efforts, including acquiring specialised equipment, offering travel assistance for participants, and providing more support workers for our workshops and performances. Our goal is to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to participate and express themselves through the arts.
Expanded Marketing and Community Outreach (£100)
With a modest additional investment in our marketing and outreach efforts, we can extend our reach to more diverse audiences. We plan to engage with local schools, community centres, and disability organisations to ensure that our project is accessible to all, fostering an inclusive community of artists and audiences alike.
Sustainable Follow-up Programmes (£100)
To keep the momentum going, we aim to develop follow-up programmes that encourage participants to continue their artistic endeavours. This could include future productions, mentorship opportunities, and ongoing collaborative projects, all designed to support the long-term growth and sustainability of our project. By allocating the additional funds in these key areas, we can significantly enhance the scope and quality of our project. Your generous support will not only contribute to a more enriching and impactful experience for our participants but will also strengthen our community's cultural fabric.
Join us in making this vision a reality, and be part of something truly special.
Empowerment Through Inclusive Theatre: Join Us in Making a Difference
Our Vision
With immense enthusiasm, we unveil our latest venture—an exciting initiative to uplift the disabled community through inclusive theatre. Our mission? To co-create an environment where skill sharing and collaborative creativity take centre stage, allowing participants to mould, design, and perform in an original theatre production. This isn't just about putting on a show; it's about offering a platform to marginalised voices, enabling them to share their narratives and reshape perceptions through thought-provoking stories infused with humour. We aim to spark vital conversations on disability and inclusion that encourage empathy and understanding and develop more equitable practices within the industry.
Journey Through Our Project Phases: Embark With Us on a Two-Part Adventure
Phase One
Interactive workshops covering set and costume design, puppetry, writing for performance, and movement—each crafted to facilitate skill development and creative expression. These will be followed by an exhibition evening to showcase participant creations, providing an opportunity to engage with the community and network with fellow artists and attendees.
Phase Two
Building on the insights and creativity from our workshops, we will work towards presenting an original comedy theatre piece. This production will entertain audiences while highlighting our participants' diverse talents and stories. By weaving together the unique experiences shared during the workshops, the play will provide a relatable and authentic perspective on themes of disability and inclusion.
How You Can Make a Difference
Now, we reach out to you, inviting you to join this pioneering journey with a funding goal of £1000. Here's how your support can bring this vision to life: -
Workshops (£600)
Enable us to host enriching workshops with experienced facilitators, ensuring a supportive learning environment.
Materials and Supplies (£200)
Aid us in acquiring essential fabrics, materials, and equipment for puppetry, costume and set design.
Accessibility Support (£100)
To allow us to offer comprehensive accessibility, ensuring everyone can participate fully, regardless of their needs.
Marketing and Promotion (£100)
To help us spread the word, ensuring a broad reach and diverse audience for our workshops and final performance.
Your contribution will directly impact individuals within the disabled community, offering them a platform to develop creative skills and share their stories. Together, let's break down barriers and champion inclusivity through the power of theatre.
Thank you for considering being a part of this journey. Regardless of size, every donation brings us closer to realising a shared dream of empowerment and solidarity.
