Aim

Hull FC's Academy side will embark on a development tour of Australia in 2027, the first of it's kind for the club

Hull FC's Academy side will embark on a development tour of Australia in 2027.

In the very first tour of its kind for one of the club’s Centre of Excellence sides, the then-U18s will head ‘down under’ in February/March 2027 for a once-in-a-lifetime, groundbreaking three week tour in the Southern Hemisphere which will aim to further develop some of the club’s future stars, and offer invaluable personal and cultural experiences in Australia.

The tour will offer the club’s young players the chance to train and live as full-time professional athletes, and make the most of the opportunity to visit and use some of the best facilities on offer in world Rugby League at NRL clubs.

The Black & Whites’ U18s will play three competitive fixtures against NRL youth sides during the tour, and experience the culture and opportunities that Australia has to offer that will help build ever-lasting bonds as teammates.

The tour is a significant financial and logistical investment from the club, with the ultimate aim of aiding the development some of the city’s brightest young sporting talent to best prepare them to enter the first-team environment in the years ahead.

To aid preparations for the tour, supporters and club partners are able to pledge their support to the development tour with a wide range of events and fundraising initiatives taking place throughout 2025 and 2026, with the stationary cycle challenge the latest.

The young players, joined by coaching and support staff, will take on the challenge on Sunday 29th March, cycling the distance from the MKM Stadium to Stade Gilbert Brutus on stationary bikes positioned around the MKM Stadium.

Any generosity throughout the fundraising campaign, be it big or small, is greatly appreciated.
