To help raise funds to replace our old and dated shop front and keep us running with keeping the heat in and customers feeling cosy and safe
“Help Us Give Sips & Giggles the Welcome It Deserves”Sips & Giggles was created to be a coffee shop with a difference.
For the last three years we've worked hard to create a warm, welcoming space where everyone feels at home. Run by a team of volunteers who have become like family, we've always tried to put community at the heart of everything we do.
From our Community Caffeine scheme, where customers can pre-pay food and drinks for those who may be struggling, to Christmas donations, affordable events for children and adults, and support for local charities and businesses, we've always believed that small acts of kindness can make a big difference.
Now we're asking for a little help ourselves.
Last week, a large crack appeared in one of our front windows. What started as a small crack has now spread across the entire pane, caused by the vibration from our ageing front door each time it closes. While replacing the window would solve the immediate problem, the reality is that our whole shop front is reaching the end of its life.
The current frontage is old, draughty and no longer fit for purpose. The windows are not double glazed, making the café cold and expensive to heat during winter, and replacement parts for the door are no longer available. The door has become increasingly difficult to lock and large gaps allow cold air to enter despite our best efforts with draught excluders.
Our dream is to replace the entire shop front with a safe, secure and energy-efficient frontage that will help us continue serving the community for many years to come.
Every donation, no matter how small, will help us get one step closer to that goal.
Thank you for supporting Sips & Giggles, and for helping us continue doing what we love most: serving great coffee, good food, and plenty of giggles along the way.
