We've spent years encouraging men to ask for help. Now it's our turn.

Hello, I am Jacob, founder of INCOURAGE, a small community interest company set up in 2022 helping men build deeper friendships, speak honestly and find the courage to ask for support.

We believe individual wellbeing is a collective responsibility.

Too many men have people around them but still struggle to share what's really going on. We want to help change that.

What we do

Through weekends away, workshops and shared experiences, we bring men together to build trust, confidence and connection.

Sometimes the conversation happens in a circle. Sometimes on a walk, over dinner or between moments of laughter.

But our ambition goes beyond the weekend.

We want men to take that courage back into their friendships, families and everyday lives.

Real conversations. Real friendships. Real change.

Since 2022, we've hosted seven weekends away, welcoming 61 men aged 19 to 55.

One participant told us:

“This weekend was genuinely more impactful than I could have ever thought.”

Around 65% of our participants ask for financial support to attend. We never want someone's ability to pay to determine whether they can take part.

Why we're asking for help

We want to keep doing this work in 2027. But our current funds aren't enough.

We're crowdfunding £5,000 — half of our estimated annual requirement of £10,100.

Our plans include two weekends away, workshops and ongoing support for the men we've already met, as well as those we haven't reached yet.

Where your money goes

Our estimated annual costs are:

• £8,500 — Weekends and workshops: venues, accommodation, meals, facilitation, activities and materials.
• £800 — Essential administration: insurance, travel, website and platform costs.
• £800 — Outreach and development: helping us reach more men and improve what we offer.

Your donation will help us deliver these experiences and subsidise places for men who would otherwise struggle to attend.
