Aim
This May, our mission is to send the Tories packing and stop Reform UK
On 7 May, voters will decide who runs Norfolk County Council, and controls the decisions that shape our daily lives: our buses, our roads, our libraries, our schools, our care for older people.
In North Norfolk, those decisions aren’t abstract. They are the difference between dignity and decline. Between opportunity and exodus. Between a life well lived and a future cut short.
Local services are at breaking point
Right now, Norfolk isn’t working the way it should.
Older residents are left navigating a care system stretched beyond its limits. Families of working age feel forced to leave the county just to find decent opportunity. Young people can’t get to college, work or training because the buses don’t run when they need them up, or don’t exist at all.
Special Educational Needs provision is in crisis. Vulnerable people are struggling to access basic support. And our roads? They’re crumbling before our eyes.
This didn’t happen by accident. The Conservatives have controlled the County Council for most of this millennium.
It’s time they were shown the door.
The real choice: Liberal Democrats or Reform
In many of our communities, this election is a straight fight between the Liberal Democrats and Reform UK.
Reform UK is riding high on national headlines and pouring money into places like North Norfolk. They think they can win on slogans and protest votes.
But here’s the truth: they have no credible answers to Norfolk’s local problems. No serious plan for SEND. No workable solution for rural transport. No grip on adult social care.
We do.
But to deliver it, we need more Liberal Democrat councillors in the chamber. Vote by vote, decision by decision, shaping the future instead of shouting from the sidelines.
Just a handful of seats could decide Norfolk’s direction for a generation.
This election will shape decades
The council elected this May won’t just patch potholes. It will shape our communities for decades.
Last time we were in leadership at County Hall, we saw the equivalent of a football stadium’s worth of additional children attending good or outstanding schools. That's real, measurable progress that changed lives. Imagine what we could do again.
Reform’s money vs. our movement
Reform UK is spending heavily here because they believe Norfolk can be turned into a headline. They believe national polling is enough.
But local elections aren’t won by tweets and talking points. They’re won by conversations. By trust. By hard work on the ground.
