On 26th March 2025 the bank account for The Hoggery wild hedgehog rescue was a victum of fraud.  £1978 was taken.  

I have set up this fundraiser to try and replace this money.  It is desperately needed for the Hoggery to recover and continue in its work.  The rescue is currently full and we are starting to run low on some supplies.

I have spoken to the bank numerous times to try and get this money back.  I have also spoken to the merchant involved (who have cancelled the transaction) and I have also been in touch with the financial ombudsman - all to no avail.  I don't know what else to do other than to proactively try and raise the funds again.

The card that was compromised has been cancelled and replaced.  The account is now 100% secure and I will be using virtual cards and paypal from now on so that I have the extra layer of security on every purchase.
