Help us complete a lasting home for cricket, hockey and our community. Now extended to 29/07/2026.
The support for this project so far has been fantastic and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who has donated, shared the campaign, volunteered their time or supported us along the way.
As the pavilion project continues we have decided to extend the Crowdfunder campaign, with a new closing date of 29/07/2026.
We believe it’s important to keep all supporters updated and be transparent about any changes to the campaign. Extending the fundraiser gives us additional time to continue building momentum, reach more people and raise the remaining funds needed to fully complete the pavilion.
There are still lots of ways you can play your part:
Every contribution helps us move one step closer to creating a lasting legacy for the club and wider community.
Wisbech Town Cricket & Hockey Club has been at the heart of local sport for generations, providing opportunities for people of all ages to play, volunteer and stay active.
In recent years the Club
has been delivering a major transformation of its facilities. Following the successful refurbishment of the hockey pitch in 2023, our brand-new pavilion is on course for completion this summer, a significantly larger, more accessible and future-ready home for both cricket and hockey.
Our vision is simple: to create a high-quality, welcoming hub that supports participation, development and social connection for many years to come.
Funds raised through this Crowdfunder will help ensure the new pavilion opens fully fitted, fully functional and ready to serve the whole Club and wider community.
We have already made significant progress — but the final phase needs your support.
Our Pavilion Project at a Glance
Help us complete the final phase.
The main pavilion structure is funded and construction is progressing well on site. However, completing a project of this scale involves more than the core build alone.
This Crowdfunder is specifically focused on completing the kitchen and bar fit-out, internal furnishings and social space - some of the most important elements needed to bring the pavilion fully to life.
These priority items alone exceed our £50,000 target, meaning every pound raised here will have a direct and visible impact.
This campaign forms part of our wider Lasting Legacy Campaign, alongside ongoing grant work and additional fundraising activity as we move towards full completion in early summer.
Strong community backing at this stage is vital. It helps us finish the project to the standard the Club needs and demonstrates the continued support that has brought us this far.
Every pound raised through this campaign will go directly into completing and equipping the new pavilion.
Priority focus for this Crowdfunder:
Supporting elements across the wider project include:
These elements ensure the pavilion opens as a fully functioning, sustainable facility - not just a finished shell.

The new pavilion will benefit the Club and wider community all year round — not just on match days.
It will provide:
The enhanced bar, catering and social facilities are also designed to generate sustainable income to help support the Club’s long-term running costs.
Alongside the new hockey pitch delivered in 2023, the completed pavilion will create one of the strongest grassroots sports environments in the area.
Above all, it secures the long-term future of the Club as a place where people can play, volunteer and connect for years to come.
There are several simple ways to help us finish strong:
1. Make a pledge
Every donation moves the project closer to completion. Donations of £100+ can be recognised on our Lasting Legacy Donor Wall (optional and anonymous if preferred).
2. Take part in our fundraising events
Join the Golf Day on 4th September. Follow our social media accounts for more information.
3. Spread the word
Share our project on your social media pages and ask friends, family and local businesses to get behind us. The more people we reach, the more support we will get.
4. Fundraise for us
If you’d like to run your own fundraiser, you can easily set up a page using the Start Fundraising link (just above the donate button). So far, supporters including Ali & Jazz, Becky & Georgie, and The Coopers have taken on walking, running and swimming challenges to help raise funds for the Crowdfunder, making a real difference to the project.
5. Offer rewards
If you are a local business and would like to support the campaign, you can help by donating items or experiences that we can offer as rewards to our supporters. We will happily give you a shout out!
All funds raised will go directly to the WTCHC pavilion project.
