After years of helping build and run other people's businesses, I'm finally taking the leap and building something of my own — Fizz Haus 🥂

For over a decade I've worked behind the scenes in hospitality, operations, administration and business management, helping businesses grow, improve and succeed. I've invested my time, energy and skills into supporting other people's goals and ambitions, gaining invaluable experience along the way.

But deep down, I've always wanted to create something that was mine.

As a mum, building something of my own means more than simply starting a business. It's about creating something I can be proud of, something that reflects who I am, and something that helps build a better future for my family.

The idea for Fizz Haus came from wanting to create something that genuinely reflects my personality and outlook on life.

The name Fizz Haus felt like the perfect fit. "Fizz" is a nickname my partner has called me for years, and it's also a nod to prosecco — the drink that inspired the idea in the first place.

My late father-in-law would often say, "It's 5 o'clock somewhere" whenever he was enjoying his favourite beer. It became one of those phrases that always made people smile, and over time it came to represent something much bigger: enjoying life, celebrating the simple things and not always waiting for the perfect time.

That outlook has stayed with me.

For years I've talked myself out of taking the leap, waiting for the perfect opportunity, the perfect timing or the perfect circumstances. But life moves quickly, and I've realised there may never be a perfect time.

So instead of waiting, I've decided to embrace my own "why not?" attitude and finally give this dream a real chance.

Fizz Haus is my opportunity to combine my business experience, creativity and love of celebration into something special. My vision is to create a beautifully converted horsebox bar that can pop up at weddings, festivals, community events and celebrations across the Isle of Wight.

I've already invested a huge amount of time, planning, branding and personal money into building the foundations of Fizz Haus. The vision is clear, the groundwork is in place, and now I'm ready to take the next step.

My aim is to purchase a professionally converted horsebox trailer that already includes much of the equipment needed to operate. However, every trailer is different, and depending on the opportunity available at the time, some equipment, stock or finishing touches may need to be purchased separately.

The figures outlined within this Crowdfunder are therefore intended as a guide, allowing flexibility to secure the best trailer and setup available while making the most of every pound raised.

Rather than spending years waiting for the perfect circumstances, I've decided to embrace the very philosophy behind Fizz Haus — life's too short not to take the chance.
