Aim
On the 12th September 2026 I'll be swimming 3km from Albania to Corfu to raise money for Ionian Island conservation projects.
On the 12th September 2026 I'll be taking on the fierce Corfu crossing, by swimming 3km from Albania to Corfu with the Go Overboard charity.
I'll be swimming alongside (mostly behind) 150 other keen participants in this fantastic, and thankfully non-competitive event to raise funds for important marine and land conservation projects across the Ionian Islands. Go Overboard directly supports local foundations, such as the Ionian Environment Foundation and the Cyclades Preservation Fund.
The Ionian Sea is home to various marine species, such as Dolphins, Monkseals, and the Loggerhead Sea Turtle, all facing dangers from pollution and overfishing. I am extremely proud to be swimming in support of the efforts to protect these species and preserve their habitats.
This will be my first open-water swim of any substance, so please feel free to donate whatever you can. With thanks and gratitude - wish me luck!
