The Cause

The prize draw is raising funds for the non-profit QueerAF, who help marginalised LGBTQIA+ people build creative careers.

As a journalist who has worked in various Queer outlets, QueerAF is doing what their competitors aren't - telling Queer and Trans+ stories *with* the community, not only for the community." - Dee Whitnell

All the money raised here will go toward's QueerAF's LGBT+ History Month crowdfunder. QueerAF is the UK's only LGBTQIA+ publisher that’s both registered nonprofit and press regulated. But they're more than that. 

They reinvest everything they bring in to mentor and develop queer creative talent, focused on those from marginalised backgrounds. 

Their crowdfunder this year is raising funds to: Keep their newsletter free for everyone, invest in marginalised queer creative mentoring, training and publishing schemes and critical investigative journalism about LGBTQIA+ issues.
