GSN - Membership Platform Crowdfunder

Aim: Global Scouting Network is building a membership platform for the 1.1m members of the scouting community to call home and to network.

Who are we?

Global Scouting Community - 3000+ people working in over 100 countries in football  talent ID.

Why are we crowdfunding?

Right now, our global talent ID community faces real challenges:

    •    Scattered Information: Valuable insights, training resources, and best practices are spread across emails, chat groups, and isolated platforms—making it hard to find what you need, when you need it.

    •    Limited Access: Not everyone can join in-person events or access the latest developments, especially those in remote or under-resourced areas.

    •    Missed Connections: Members struggle to network, share opportunities, or get advice from peers and mentors, slowing down personal and professional growth.

    •    Barriers to Opportunity: Without a central hub, it’s easy for talented individuals—especially women, youth, and those from disadvantaged backgrounds—to miss out on career-changing opportunities.

We’re crowdfunding to solve these problems. By building a dedicated online community, we’ll bring everyone together in one accessible, easy-to-use platform—so you can connect, learn, share, and grow, wherever you are.

How we’ll spend the money raised

We will build a membership platform where our community can seek advice, exchange ideas and opinions, build their networks and look for jobs.

Community impact

Our aims are to support youth development, the women’s game, opportunities for disadvantaged communities and inclusivity within football across the globe.

How you can play your part

There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.

1. Make a pledge. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success!

2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.

3. Offer rewards. Get involved if you are a local business by donating things we can offer to our supporters. We will give you a shout out!

4. Fundraise for us. If you want to run your own fundraiser – maybe a sponsored activity or similar – use the 'contact project' button at the top of our page to let us know. Setting up your own page only takes a few minutes and you won’t need any bank details. Just a fun idea!
