Support vulnerable children this winter

Thank you so much to everyone who has helped us raise over £100,000 for our Christmas Day party!  You have made an incredible difference to the lives of thousands of vulnerable children and young people, giving them the gift of Christmas when they have no one else to turn to.  Our first Crowdfunder has exceeded our expectations and we are so grateful to everyone who has helped us reach our goal, you are all wonderful! We would also like to share with you a message from one of the mothers we support who wanted to pass on her thanks:

"I just want to thank Kids Company and whoever donated the christmas presents for my little boy, we're gonna be homeless this Christmas and the fact that he still has presents has put a big smile on his face thank you guys for the work you do xx"

We have been so overwhelmed by the warmth and generosity of the public that we are stretching our fundraising target to £150,000, and extending the closing date to the 16^th January, to support the wider needs of our children and young people.  Sadly, after the excitement of Christmas, our kids have to return to very difficult environments, dominated by the damaging effects of poverty and violence.   The additional money raised will help us provide them with basic necessities such as warm clothing, hot meals and food vouchers throughout the harshest time of year.
