💛 Community Kettle CIC: Why We Need Your Help
Community Kettle CIC began with a simple truth and a chat over a cup of tea: people need people.
After years of working in the community, we saw how isolation quietly erodes confidence, joy, and connection. So we created a space where no one has to feel alone—a place where stories are shared, meals are warm, and every person matters.
With your help, we’ve transformed an empty building into a living, breathing hub of hope. Volunteers, young leaders, and neighbours have come together to build something beautiful. We’ve run friendship groups for those grieving, youth-led projects that give teens a voice, and workshops that help people rediscover their confidence.
We’ve built something extraordinary—a warm, inclusive space where people of all ages come together to connect, learn, and belong.
But the reality is, the stress of constantly raising funds is taking its toll.
☕ We Need Your Help to Keep the Kettle Boiling
Community Kettle CIC is self-funded and run entirely by volunteers. We’ve built a space where people connect, belong, and grow—but rising costs and unfinished renovations are putting our future at risk.
Here’s what your support will help us achieve:
📈 Rising Costs
Energy bills, insurance, and esculating business rates charges from the council are making it harder to stay open. We urgently need help covering our core running costs.
🔧 Unfinished Renovations
Our main room still needs flooring and finishing touches to make it safe, warm, and welcoming for all. This is hampering us with sustainability as we are unable to offer functions and events both for ourselves and other prospective clients.
🏚️ Underused Space
We want to transform our basement into a safe, inclusive meeting space—ideal for youth groups, enterprise initiatives, and local business development. This space will offer privacy, flexibility, and opportunity—supporting young leaders, start-ups, and community partners who need a welcoming place to grow.
🍽️ Funded Experiences
When we can cover our running costs, we’ll unlock more funded experiences—including free breakfasts for children in education, creative workshops, and inclusive community events.
💬 Real Impact
We’re building intergenerational connections, tackling isolation, and empowering young people to lead. But we need a core team to develop and sustain this work.

This project started with a simple idea: that everyone deserves a place to belong. We’ve grown into a vibrant, intergenerational hub where people connect, learn, and support one another.
We’re predominantly self-funded and run by volunteers who pour their hearts into this special space every day. But the rising costs—and the constant pressure to fundraise—are making it harder to keep going.
