Aim

Making trauma recovery coaching accessible for women rebuilding life after abuse, so healing isn’t limited by income- or hope.

From Past To Purpose: Women’s Trauma Healing Project

Making trauma recovery coaching accessible for women rebuilding life after abuse, so healing isn’t limited by income, opportunity, or hope.

Project Overview

Across the UK, thousands of women are rebuilding their lives after domestic or emotional abuse- yet many can’t access the support they desperately need to recover.
Financial abuse often leaves survivors without savings, security, or confidence to seek help. Without support, trauma can linger in the nervous system long after the abuse ends- affecting mental health, relationships, and quality of life.

The From Past To Purpose: Women’s Trauma Healing Project exists to change that.
This initiative will provide free access to a 6-week trauma-informed recovery and empowerment programme, helping women begin to rebuild confidence, self-worth, and a sense of safety within themselves.

What the 6-Week Programme Includes

Each week focuses on a key stage of trauma recovery- combining practical tools, nervous system regulation techniques, group coaching, and guided reflection to help women reconnect with themselves and their future.

  • Week 1 – Understanding Trauma & Building Safety
Learn how trauma impacts the brain and body. Begin to understand survival responses and how to create internal safety.
  •  Week 2 – Regulating the Nervous System
Experience gentle, practical techniques to calm anxiety, ground emotions, and bring the body out of survival mode.
  • Week 3 – Overcoming Negative Thinking
Learn how automatic negative thoughts form and practice strategies to challenge and reframe them.
  • Week 4 – Reclaiming Self-Worth
Explore how abuse damages confidence and rebuild a new sense of identity rooted in strength, not fear.
  • Week 5 – Setting Boundaries & Relearning Safety
Understand what healthy boundaries look like and practice communicating needs without guilt or fear.
  • Week 6 – Rediscovering Purpose & Empowered Living
Reconnect with personal values, strengths, and passions — building a vision for life beyond survival.

Each woman will also receive a personal workbook, reflective exercises, and access to optional 1:1 coaching support following the programme.

Who It’s For

This project is designed for women who have experienced emotional or domestic abuse and who are now safe but still struggling with the emotional and physical effects of trauma.

Participants will be referred through local charities, support services, and police partnerships to ensure those most in need can take part, especially those who would otherwise be unable to afford coaching or therapy.

When It Will Take Place

The 6-week programme will begin after Christmas 2025, a period that can be particularly difficult for women in abusive or high-stress environments.
Research shows that domestic abuse incidents rise by around 30% during the festive season in the UK (Office for National Statistics, 2023).
The emotional and financial pressures of this time- combined with increased alcohol use- can make home environments more volatile.

By launching early in the new year, the programme offers women the support and stability they need to take those crucial first steps toward healing.

Why This Project Exists

I’m Aimee Heaton, founder of Ready Aim Succeed Coaching, Prestige Trauma-Informed Coach of the Year 2025/26 for Manchester & the North West and SME News Holistic Coach Specialist of the Year 2025.

After experiencing emotional abuse myself, I know how isolating recovery can feel- especially if finances become another barrier to healing.
While there are incredible charities supporting women in crisis, I’ve seen first-hand how stretched funding has become. Many organisations simply can’t meet the growing demand for trauma recovery support.

So I decided to take action- using my knowledge, background and qualifications in trauma-informed coaching, neuroscience, NLP, and emotional regulation to create a project that bridges the gap between surviving and thriving.

This isn’t just a programme.
It’s a lifeline- a space where women are heard, supported, and guided to rebuild from the inside out.

Why a Crowdfunder?

This first 6-week programme is a pilot- a foundation to test, refine, and shape the most effective trauma-healing experience possible for the women who need it most.

By launching it through Crowdfunder, I can bring this vital support to life now- without waiting for traditional funding or sponsorship. Every donation helps make this first programme possible and creates the evidence and outcomes needed to secure future partnerships with charities, community organisations, and sponsors.

Your contribution doesn’t just fund one programme- it helps build a long-term, sustainable path for women’s trauma recovery support across the UK.

Together, we can make this pilot the start of something powerful- a project that continues changing lives, one healing journey at a time.
