Thank you all for your generous support - we have surpassed our target and we are so grateful!
As you can see from the photos we made it to the top of Scafell TWICE! Each time was just under 3 hours so we did it twice in less than 6 hours! It took some recovery but it was worth it for the experience!

Thank you all for your generous support so far. Our training is well underway, and today we were given permission for a stall at the foot of Scafell Pike. If anyone is in the valley on the bank holiday weekend, it would be lovely to see you, and we'll save you some cake! :)

The World Scout Jamboree in 2023 is a major opportunity for us to develop our leadership, teamwork and independence, making connections around the globe. It is a privilege and an honour to have been selected to go, and as part of our fundraising £4,000 each, we have taken on the challenge of climbing Scafell Pike, the highest mountain in England, twice in a day. The money we raise will go into the Unit 48 'pot', as well as to Scouts in less privileged situations than ourselves. As a first-world country, part of the funds we raise goes towards helping Scouts in less developed countries to pay for their trip, removing an otherwise impassable barrier for them to go, and allowing them equal opportunity to ourselves, so any support you can give would be greatly appreciated.
For our challenge, which takes place on the June jubilee bank holiday weekend, we will start our first ascent at 6:00am, and hope to be back down by 12pm. We will then begin our second ascent at 2pm, and finally, will complete the challenge by 7pm. As you can see this will be a massive challenge, and I hope you can support us in our effort.
