Eynsham CC is expanding and needs to rebuild the nets to offer a safer and better place for all the new juniors, women and men to train in
Who are we?
Eynsham Cricket Club is a traditional village cricket club based just outside of our beautiful village in West Oxfordshire. The club has recovered from a setback in 2012 when the lovely old clubhouse was burned down, but the members pulled together and rebuilt it and the club back to where we are now.

Why are we crowdfunding?
Since the creation of the junior section in 2015, and then our women's section in 2017, the amount of cricket being played at the club has grown rapidly, especially in the last few years. Unfortunately, our existing cricket nets are not sufficient for the job. We have two lanes, old green batting areas, concrete take offs and currently (due to lack of rain) very little grass all around.
We really are a community club with the vast majority of our members living in Eynsham or surrounding villages, and very often attending our schools. We are proud that many members remain with the club for life and we are happy to strive to be a competitive club for a village of our size. The growth of juniors and women’s cricket has made the club busy every day of the week and especially Fridays, when all sections are invited to train and enjoy the beautiful club setting.
As a Community Amateur Sports Club it is hoped that all the funds raised here will help to match funds that are available from other avenues such as Sport England and WODC, so your support can effectively help to double our efforts.

How we’ll spend the money raised
We have now received planning permission to rebuild our two lane nets into a brand new state of the art 3 lane cricket training facility and your money will go directly toward this project.

Community impact
The installation of this cricketing facility will mean that we increase our offering to junior boys and girls, women’s and men’s cricket, both in terms of the hours we can train but more importantly in terms of quality and safety. We hope to be able to increase our offering to the local schools where the growth in cricket is also being seen.
How you can play your part
There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.
1. Make a pledge. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success!
2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.
3. Offer rewards. Get involved if you are a local business by donating things we can offer to our supporters. We will give you a shout out on our thank you boards at the ground.
4. Fundraise for us. If you want to run your own fundraiser – maybe a sponsored activity or similar – use the 'contact project' button at the top of our page to let us know. Setting up your own page only takes a few minutes, and you won’t need any bank details. Just a fun idea!
