Yesterday i saw a story of a Elderly gentleman who has major disabilities and having to leave his rented accommodation.
His bathroom had a leak that was reported the day before, the housing association ignored this and the leak turned into a flood.
This was on the second floor and all the carpets were ruined.
After the flood was repaired the gentleman had to go and stay in a relatives home because of his health and disabilities.
NOBODY WOULD HELP
The housing, the council, they tried everywhere, sadly without any luck at all.
He has no savings and his family are not in a position to help, only human nature is needed so he can have his home again.
I contacted Carpet Market on Accrington road and explained the situation and the boss met me at the flat.
He measured the rooms and said he can manage the fitting on Monday afternoon.
I went and bought the carpets and booked the fittin in, the gentleman will be back in his home on Monday.
Why are the Elderly and Disabled being ignored and left like this by the establishment.
